Altrok Radio adds Kaiser Chiefs, Raveonettes, Art Brut, New Order and much much more...
On the radio Tuesdays, 6am to 8am Eastern at WRSU-FM 88.7, New Brunswick, NJ On the radio Fridays, 10pm to Midnight Eastern at 90.5 The Night, Lincroft, NJ Altrok Radio plays new music the way Independent Alternative radio once did. We don't throw on the latest cookie-cutter rap/metal outfit that's being marketed as "alternative". But if it's new, it's interesting, and it's challenging, it's on our stream. (And we'll play older stuff that's interesting and challenging, too.) Update 4/22/05: Here's the latest adds for the week:
Dead 60s, The - Riot Radio Raveonettes, The - Sleepwalking Kaiser Chiefs - Everyday I Love You Less And Less Mando Diao - Clean Town New Order - Dracula's Castle Architecture In Helsinki - Do The Whirlwind Wombats, The - Happily Screwed Lab Partners - Now Spoon - My Mathematical Mind Blue Van, The - Revelation Of Love Mountain Goats, The - This Year Each week, Jeff Raspe picks an outstanding track from a brand-new album. This week, the pick is:
And in our Grinder this week...
Fischerspooner - Cloud Pluto - Dance Stamina Beck - Girl House Of Love, The - Days Run Away Le Tigre - Tell You Now Live365's editors made us the Alternative Editor's Pick in May 2004, as did About.com, so there's a small but growing group of people that count on us for the best new music we can find, and the best classic alternative dredged from the canals of our (rapidly fading) memory. So, in short, you can listen to Altrok Radio in 64k MP3Pro here... http://www.altrok.com/streams.shtml (and remember: on weekend evenings, the Muddy Channel is home to the Party Gone Out Of Bounds - the perfect soundtrack to the kind of house party you thought only existed in old John Hughes movies. Try it and see!)
