Dar Williams - The Beauty Of The Rain (Razor & Tie)

Jeff says:
Dar Williams' new CD "The Beauty Of The Rain" is perhaps the most comfortable and confident album of her already distinguished career. While it might seem odd that she, a "girl with guitar" type folk singer, has a bunch of jam-band special guests, she has indeed benefitted from their input. Among her guests are Stefan Lessard (of the Dave Matthews Band), John Medeski (of Medeski, Martin & Wood), John Popper (of Blues Traveler), Alison Krauss, Cliff Eberhardt, and Bela Fleck. Getting married and moving to New York City before making this album have given her many more things to write about as well. You've already heard much of the album on 90.5 The NIGHT including the title track, "I Saw A Bird Fly Away," "The World's Not Falling Apart," and "Closer To Me." Upcoming tourdates opening for the Dave Matthews Band will put her in front of a whole new crowd of people and expand her already relatively large fanbase.
