Today's lesson involves the art of balancing equations. The idea's simple, really: take two artists that have something in common, and figure out what you'd have to add or subtract from one to make them match the other. Then tie it all up with algebraic notation. Extra credit is given for cattiness, of course.
Barenaked Ladies = They Might Be Giants - Tom Lehrer + Tom Chapin
Train (you know, they do "Drops Of Jupiter") = Elton John - Bernie Taupin
Dave Matthews = Peter Gabriel + A Sinus Infection
And it goes without saying that:
Rob Thomas = Cher
The sky's the limit, and it's up to you. Send 'em in to us along with your name and the town you live in here, and we'll put your name up in momentarily glowing phosphors. After all, we're about nothing if not fleeting notoriety.
