It's Not HardCore ... It's NerdCore
by Shaun "Bastard" Nelson

I'm not a Hip-Hop kinda guy. I don't listen to Rap, and I don't dig R&B... or whatever crap passes for R&B these days. If anybody makes me listen to another crappy Trance mix, I'm going to kick them in the sack. I mean that, keep those damn Trance mixes away from me.

I'm sick of bad music. I tell you, I'm sick of it, hear me?

This explains why I don't listen to a lot of radio.

But my self imposed exile from the free-to-air radio waves hasn't kept me away from new music. People leave CD's on my doorstep, anonymous e-mails beckon with URL's that lead to points unknown, late night phone calls deposit people humming catchy tunes on my answering machine.

Sometimes, just sometimes, somebody manages to get a piece of music past my gaurd. Just like that time I was kidnapped and force to watch "Twin Peaks", but this time I liked it...

And now I share with you. MC Frontalot. I don't know who the man is, or where he's from ... or basically, anything at all about him. If, indeed, it is a he. But I'll tell you one thing, he's got the funny. And the gift of music. Maybe even the gift of funny music.

His signature song, "Indier Than Thou" is well, good. It's so good, it goes on my work rotation, to block my ears from the cease-less whining of my co-workers.
