A simple song about a dead mouse salesman, or more accurately a salesman who really really wants to sell a dead mouse. I've listened to the song quite a few times, and I've always been amused by the fanciful lyrics. Indeed, a man shilling a dead mouse on a street corner... It would never happen, right? Well, it was all a flight of fantasy, as told by a gravel gargling lead singer, with a horn section backup. Until the day it was real.

Dead Frozen Mice were commonly sold in the Boston Area, and as far as I know, still are. However they are sold cheaper than the low, low price of 50 cents. Normally they are sold as food, for snakes and other animal eating pets.

So, the next time you're listening to this toe-tapping treat, chuckling internally at the thought of mouse salesmanship... Somebody out there has done it.
