ALTROK Ordinals 15

Bob Dylan - Love And Theft (Columbia)
Jeff says:Okay, so maybe this won't go down as one of Bob's greatest albums, just think about some of the records that have come before it. It is, though, a great album. Bob's throwaways would be a great album for most other artists. This is his first release since 97's Grammy winning Time Out Of Mind.

Miranda Lee Richards - The Herethereafter (Virgin)
Jeff says:I don't know much about this young, new artist, other than she's from San Francisco. But she has made a wonderful debut album. She wrote or co-wrote everything on it (except for a fine cover of The Stones' "Dandelion"), plays 9 different instruments, and gets people like Jon Brion and Joey Waronker to play on her record. Part Joni Mitchell, part Tori Amos, part Nick Drake, part Beth Orton, part Edie Brickell, part Innocence Mission, part Victoria WIlliams...I could go on. Quite imperssive.
